Freight Checker
Job Description
Freight Checker Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, based Freight Office Heysham Port, North Quay, Heysham Port, LA3 2XF.
Clean driving licence essential, as you will required to drive company Checker Vehicle on Freight Yard.
Meet inbound vessel and arrange loading of Freight and Passenger Traffic, liaising with ship/freight office and passenger terminal via radios to affect the prompt loading of vessels.
Being able to follow shipping lists whilst working under time pressures.
Directing the tug team loading the boat with freight trailers.
Directing the loading of accompanied freight traffic.
Organised and able to work on their own and as part of a team.
Organising of trade vehicles for sailings.
Accurate figure reporting for ships.
Outdoor working in all weather's day and night.
Driving of company vehicles including minibus.
Shift pattern, split shifts. 1030 hours to 1430 hours / 2230 hours to 0230 hours
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 26,550.00 per year
