Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring
Performing Arts Teacher
to join our growing team. You'll lead engaging and inclusive classes in dance, drama, and/or musical theatre for children and young people, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic performing arts classes tailored to various age groups and abilities
Create a fun, supportive, and safe learning environment
Encourage self-expression, collaboration, and skill development
Prepare students for performances, showcases, or community events
Work in alignment with House of GPA's mission and values
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and the wider team
Support the development of inclusive and culturally rich content
What We're Looking For
Experience teaching dance, drama, musical theatre or a combination of the three
A genuine passion for working with children and young people
Strong classroom management and creative teaching style
Understanding of the importance of representation and inclusivity in the arts
Energetic, organised, and dependable
[Enhanced DBS check required - if applicable]
Desirable but not essential:
Experience working with children of colour or in culturally responsive environments
Choreography or production experience
First Aid or safeguarding training
