The role

etiCloud have an exciting opening for a Front-End Software Engineer to join our Legal Tech Product team, office based in our modern, fully furnished Sheffield office. As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will specialize in our Legal Tech products aiming to transform how legal professionals interact with data, documents, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

UI development:

Implement high fidelity, accessible interfaces using Next.js and Tailwind CSS.

Client-side logic:

Build reusable React components and hooks in TypeScript to manage state, data fetching, and user interactions.

Performance optimisation:

Identify and mitigate front-end performance bottlenecks (lazy loading, code splitting, efficient rendering).

Testing and quality:

Write unit and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library) to ensure robust, maintainable code.

Collaboration:

Work closely with UX/UI designers to iterate on visuals and animations; partner with backend teams to integrate APIs.

Observability:

Instrument and monitor front-end behaviour with PostHog and Sentry; use analytics data to inform improvements.

Deployment and CI/CD:

Contribute to deployment pipelines on Vercel; collaborate on automated build and release processes.

Required skills and experience:

Experience in integrating APIs into data-driven UI components

Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

Experience with React and Next.js.

Strong understanding of responsive design, CSS architecture, and Tailwind CSS.

Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).

Experience with Git workflows and code reviews.

Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO fundamentals.

A passion to adopt new front-end technologies and patterns.

Enjoy collaborating in small teams and sharing knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-42,000.00 per year
