Job Description

The Front of House Business Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the gymnastics school's front desk and customer service functions. This role ensures smooth communication between families, coaches, and management, oversees administrative and financial processes, and maintains an exceptional experience for students and parents.

You will lead the Front of House team to deliver outstanding service, manage class bookings and memberships, handle billing and scheduling, and ensure that all operations align with the school's brand, values, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities. Customer Experience & Communication



Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, students, and visitors. Provide information about programs, classes, events, and policies. Handle inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and organised front-of-house environment.

2. Enrollment & Administration



Oversee class registrations, waitlists, and cancellations. Manage student records, attendance tracking, and membership databases. Ensure that all enrollment forms, waivers, and communications are up to date and accurate. Coordinate with coaching staff to optimize class capacities and scheduling.

3. Staff Leadership



Recruit, train, and supervise front desk, administrative staff and coaches. Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all operational hours. Conduct team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations. Promote a positive, customer-focused team culture.

4. Financial & Business Management



Oversee billing, payments, and account management. Reconcile daily transactions and prepare financial reports for management. Support budgeting, cost control, and business planning activities. Assist with membership renewals, upselling programs, and promotional activities.

5. Facility & Safety Coordination



Ensure front of house and communal areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Support compliance with child safety, health, and safeguarding regulations. Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Experience



Previous experience in front of house management, office administration, or customer service leadership, preferably in a gymnastics, sports, or recreation setting. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic financial management and reporting skills. Competence with scheduling or membership software (e.g., iClassPro, Jackrabbit, or similar).

Preferred:



Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field. Knowledge of child-centered program environments or youth recreation management.
