Venue 28 is a stunning Grade II listee building with a modern, contemporary feel, located in the heart of Beckenham. We are a dry-hire venue hosting a wide range of events including weddings, birthday celebrations, baby showers, and corporate events. Alongside private events, our venue is home to a diverse programme of regular classes, making Venue 28 a vibrant community hub.
We are currently recruiting for a Front of House Coordinator to join our friendly Front of House team. This is a varied role combining customer service, administration, and event coordination, and you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients and class organisers.
Working Hours
Full-time:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Occasional weekend contact may be required by phone only to respond to event-related queries for events you are the lead on. This is infrequent and does not require attendance on site.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming visitors and coordinating viewings of the venue
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients and class organisers
Managing telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
Ensuring the reception area is clean, organised and welcoming
Managing the room booking system for internal and external events and meetings
Coordinating class enquiries, bookings, schedules and diary management
General administrative duties, including purchasing and ordering venue supplies
Basic website updates and social media support
Any other reasonable duties as directed by the General Manager
Experience
Previous experience in front of house, reception, customer service or administrative role is preferred but not essential
Experience dealing with the public in a professional and friendly manner
Experience handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
Experience managing bookings, diaries or scheduling is an advantage
Qualification / Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask
Confidence working in a customer-facing role
Professional, friendly and approachable manner
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
