Front of House Receptionist
to join our busy veterinary practice.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. From greeting owners and their pets to managing appointments and administrative tasks, you'll ensure the smooth running of our front desk and deliver a first-class client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
Manage incoming calls, emails, and appointment bookings
Maintain accurate client and patient records
Handle payments and invoicing
Provide information on services, products, and general pet care advice (non-clinical)
Support the veterinary team with administrative duties
Ensure the reception area is tidy, safe and welcoming

Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, approachable and empathetic manner
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Comfortable using computer systems and booking software
Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
Previous reception or customer service experience (ideally within a veterinary or healthcare setting, though not essential)
A genuine love of animals and commitment to client care
Hours
40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 (with a 1-hour unpaid break) but flexibility required on occasions with time in lieu.
