, a Grade II listed family-run pub in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Situated in the picturesque Peak District, we are known for our warm hospitality, cosy atmosphere, and excellent dining experience for both locals and visitors.

With exciting plans to expand our business over the coming months, including the development of a larger premises nearby, this is a fantastic time to join our growing team. Job Summary:

We are looking for individuals with a passion for hospitality, combined with the drive to help grow our brand. The role will involve serving guests and helping promote events, special offers, and seasonal menus to attract new customers and retain regular ones.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and serve guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude. Take food and drink orders, serve beverages, and manage table service efficiently. Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming bar and dining area. Engage with guests to upsell menu items, specials, and promotions. Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional content (social media, flyers, etc.). Help plan and execute marketing campaigns, including events and themed nights. Assist with event preparation, customer communications, and ensuring smooth delivery. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards. Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

Sales Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the management team to identify sales opportunities. Promote the venue through local outreach, social media, and emails. Assist in maintaining and updating the venue's social media channels, promoting events and offers. Support the marketing of special events (weddings, parties, funerals etc.) to generate leads and increase bookings. Monitor guest feedback and reviews, working to continually enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in hospitality (restaurant, pub, cafe) is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality. Experience in sales, marketing, or promotions is a plus. Proficiency in food preparation and food safety practices. Bartending or barista experience is an advantage. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing strategies. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. Must be able to drive as there is no live-in accommodation available.
