Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently. Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, menus, and service stations. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food preparation methods and catering options. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or feedback in a professional manner. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Assist with bartending duties as needed, including preparing beverages and serving drinks responsibly.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with catering services can be beneficial for this role. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A team player who can collaborate well with colleagues across various departments.
