Duties

Welcome and greet guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere. Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all customer preferences are noted. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of presentation. Assist with catering events, including setup and breakdown of dining areas. Support food preparation tasks when necessary, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any customer concerns promptly. Provide barista services as required, preparing coffee and other beverages to high standards. Uphold the restaurant's policies on health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with catering services is an advantage. Skills in food preparation and knowledge of food safety practices are essential. Barista experience is a plus, particularly for establishments that serve specialty coffee. A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills is crucial for engaging effectively with guests. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
