Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently. Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations. Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices during food handling and preparation. Support catering events as needed, assisting with setup, serving, and breakdown. Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Skills in catering or food preparation are advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience as a barista is a plus, particularly for establishments serving coffee or specialty beverages. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
