Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team at The Dog & Duck. With some of our awesome team members returning to education, we need likeminded team members to join us. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their experience is memorable. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, use our digital booking system ensuring a friendly and positive first impression. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently including our outside areas. Take food and drink orders accurately using our digital order system on ipads, providing recommendations when necessary and recording allergies in relation to our Allergy Policy. Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service washing hand regularly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate shortages and sold out items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations using the daily checklists in place. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution and guest satisfaction. Assist with catering events as needed, providing support in setup and service. Support bartending duties when required, ensuring compliance with licensing laws. join our other venue's when needed to support other team members.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members alike. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service excellence. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
