We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Waiter or Waitress to join our dynamic at the newly opened Saltsheds Bistro & Bar Restaurant in Newquay, right above Towan Beach.

The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive until they leave.

We have 2 Restaurants on site, currently about to open our 1st Floor Restaurant in the next week that will offer a higher end dining Experience. (3 Course, Table Service) and this site we are looking for front of house team members that have great experience in table service

Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently. (Using OpenTable and taking phone bookings) Provide menu information and recommendations, taking orders accurately. Prepare and serve beverages, including bartending duties when required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Skills in bartending and food preparation are advantageous. A strong understanding of food safety practices is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and a willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

The role is full time, not seasonal - Share of Tips, Staff Uniforms and food provided. + the chance to work in our other 3 sites in North Cornwall in the future.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
