Job Description

We are looking for Front of House Staff to join our team at Grain, St Davids.

We are a Pizza and Craft Beer Restaurant based in Pembrokeshire.

Shifts will be available between 12pm - 11pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

We are a real living wage employer.

As Front of House staff, you will be expected to:

- Greet customers as they arrive and show them to their table

- Take orders from customers at their table, at the bar or takeaway orders over the phone

- Take bookings and competently input them into the booking system

- Serve food and/or drinks to the customers

- Make cold drinks and use the coffee machine to make hot drinks

- Check back with customers to make sure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues

- Take payments from customers

- Undertake daily and weekly cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the venue including cleaning tables after customers have left, end of day cleaning of the bar and restaurant and regular toilet checks throughout the day

- Work professionally as part of a team of staff to provide efficient, friendly, speedy service

- Deal with customer complaints when necessary

- Learn about our products and suppliers to better answer customers' questions

- Help out in the kitchen if needed

- Restock the service areas when needed and keep the store room neat and organised

- Inform customers of daily specials

- Carry out all tasks with a high level of professionalism and customer service

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous bar, barista or hospitality experience
Excellent customer service skills
A good understanding of food hygiene and customer service
The ability to work well in a team
Great timekeeping and communication skills
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Own transport (if not residing in immediate locale)
An interest in coffee, pizza and beer
Full training will be given for using the coffee machine, till and booking system
