The Sword Inn Hand, our charming country pub and restaurant located in the beautiful village of Westmill, near Buntingford are on the lookout for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Front of House team member to join us! With both full time & part time roles available.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer requests are met. Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Provide support during catering events, helping to set up and serve food and beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals. Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience. Assist with bartending duties as needed, including mixing drinks and serving beverages.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are crucial for guest interaction. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. A willingness to help others and work as part of a team is essential for success in this role. Experience in catering or bartending is considered a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
