Overview

Cafe Artysans is operated by Calman Trust (charity) to generate funds for the support we provide to young people in and around Inverness. The cafe also provides work experience for young people to prepare them for the world of work.

We are looking for an experienced and positive Front of House Supervisor to work with our Cafe Manager in leading the front of house team to deliver good customer service for the cafe, takeaway counter and outside catering service.

Duties

You will

Work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a good quality and efficient service in our cafe, takeaway and outside catering Have a friendly and customer focused approach in dealing with everyone you meet and strive to meet the needs of our customers Coach and support young people during their work experience Ensure a good standard of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety Support the kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of food for cafe, take away and outside catering

Requirements

You will be:

Experienced in supervising within hospitality and have a strong focus on customer service Knowledgeable in food safety standards and health & safety A positive, encouraging supervisor who also shows patience and understanding towards the young people we work with A good organiser with the ability to help plan and coordinate the activities of the team A supportive colleague to all cafe staff and the wider Calman team Flexible in meeting the requirements of the business
Our cafe is currently open between 8.30am-4.00pm. Working hours of 40 per week on a rota system, 5 days out of 6, through Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday. Occassional evening work.

Application to the Protection of Vulnerable Adults scheme will be necessary for the successful candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
