We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The position is paid and requires a proactive approach to supervising staff and managing restaurant or hotel front-of-house activities.
Responsibilities
Supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, ensuring smooth service delivery
Oversee food service operations, including food presentation, serving, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards
Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support kitchen staff during busy periods
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover to maximise customer satisfaction
Monitor customer experience, address complaints promptly, and ensure guests leave satisfied
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
Coordinate with kitchen teams to ensure timely food production and service flow
Train new staff members on service procedures, health & safety regulations, and company standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area in accordance with health regulations
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Extensive restaurant experience including food preparation, serving, and culinary knowledge
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as hotel or barista work is advantageous
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in service delivery and cleanliness standards
Flexibility to work during peak hours including evenings and weekends as required
