Immersive Octopus are recruiting a friendly and enthusiastic Front of House Team to help bring alive "ChristmasVille", in the historic city of Portsmouth.
At ChristmasVille, the audience enter giant 19-metre domes and are immersed in adventures where theatre, ?lm and spectacular effects astound at every turn as they help awaken the festive magic of the Northern Lights in the Elf Emporium.
With dazzling projection, live performance, puppetry and music, this immersive adventure places the audience right at the heart of the story, for an experience that is playful, magical, and unforgettable.
The Front of House Team are instrumental in ensuring the audiences and welcomed to the experience and are immersed in the magical world. From the first checking of tickets, reaching their seats, through to the meeting of Father Christmas in his grotto.
Training and costumes will be provided to ensure the in-world experience is created for the audience by the front of house team, well before the performances start.

Job Responsibilities:
Carry out the duties associated of the role, for a first-class production.
Greet and engage with audience members, ensuring they feel genuinely welcomed to the venue and treated appropriately as an important and valued customer
Check customers tickets and assist to resolve any arising issues.
To be an integrated part of the immersive world, wearing production provided costume/uniform, and delivering the service in an interactive character style, suitable for the artistic vision.
Ensure a seamless and quality audience experience for all guests.
Communicate effectively with audience and team members to enhance the overall experience
Box office and ticket management
Ensure all public areas are kept tidy and presentable
Assist with the access needs of customers as required
Answer any queries and offer additional information regarding the production or other events taking place at the venue.

Key Skills & Experience
Experience of working as a Front of House team member in an immersive or site-specific production.
Must be an approachable, proactive person with great communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a team
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities & problem-solving mindset with the ability to think on your feet
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
To supply current documentation or comply with a company funded DBS check.
