Overview

The Inn at Kingsbarns is centrally located in the beautiful village of Kingsbarns on the East Neuk of Fife ( 6 miles from St Andrews ) The Inn currently offers 6 bedrooms, a sixteen seat restaurant, outdoor garden seating and a small bar.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of hospitality, including serving food and beverages, managing guest interactions, and maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the front of house area.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Take orders accurately and efficiently while demonstrating knowledge of the menu offerings. Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards and presentation guidelines. Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly. Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including dining tables, service stations, and restrooms. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience in serving or guest services is an advantage. A passion for providing outstanding hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
