Job Overview

We are seeking a Front of House Team Member to join our team at a busy traditional country pub in Wheldrake, located just outside of York. The ideal candidate will be polite, hard-working, have a passion for hospitality and customer service and will ensure customers have a memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Christmas Day off!

Duties

- Greet customers as they enter the pub with a warm, friendly welcome

- Assist with seating customers and managing reservations

- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently

- Serve food to tables ensuring customers have everything they need

- Handle customer queries and resolve any issues promptly

- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness at the front of house area

Experience

- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to help out with various tasks to ensure smooth operations

- Experience with cash handling is preferred but not essential

- Experience with customer service is preferred but not essential

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
