We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of medical office procedures and systems to support seamless patient care and administrative support.

Duties



Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and answering inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm. Manage phone systems, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary. Schedule patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) system R4 ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for Medicare and other providers, to facilitate smooth billing processes. Collect patient information during intake, update medical records accurately, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical billing processes by reviewing documentation for CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and ensuring proper documentation review for claims submission. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, lab results, referrals, and other documents using office management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft when applicable. Support medical administrative functions such as appointment reminders, follow-up scheduling, and care plan coordination. Handle billing inquiries related to Medicare or private insurance plans with clarity and professionalism. Ensure compliance with health information management standards by maintaining accurate documentation review practices. Perform clerical duties including data entry, photocopying, filing, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while managing patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Skills



Proven experience in a medical office setting with strong knowledge of R4 ideally. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software eg.R4 Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient interactions professionally. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to manage phone systems efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Exceptional organizational skills for managing medical records, appointment scheduling, filing systems, and documentation review tasks. Experience in dental or medical clinic environments is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology or hospital experience is a plus. Effective communication skills for liaising between patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members. Pay: 17,013.66-29,255.92 per year
