A great opportunity to join the 1YU Fuel & Inerting Engineering Design Office. This role is part of the Fuel Systems Engine and APU Feed team in Filton (1YUME). With core skills focusing on the interface between the engine and the aircraft fuel system but with engineering tasks across fuel system fluid mechanical design on all programmes including future products like ZEROe (Hydrogen).
This is a System Engineering role following DE.SO processes covering System architecture, V&V and design development as well as Equipment design & Qualification (e.g. Fuel Pumps). Tasks involve working with Suppliers and partners and working with Customers and Stakeholders across the business. We contribute daily to the Safety & Quality of our products both flying now and in the future.
How you will contribute to the team:
You'll focus on the crucial interface between the engine and the aircraft fuel system, ensuring seamless operation and safety.
Drive the fluid mechanical design for key components across our programs, taking equipment like Fuel Pumps from concept through to full qualification.
Innovate for Tomorrow: Apply your knowledge to shape the future of flight by contributing to the Hydrogen (ZEROe) system development.
Master the Process: Use your System Engineering expertise to define System Architecture, manage rigorous Verification & Validation (V&V) processes, and oversee design development.
Collaborate Widely: Work hand-in-hand with our external Suppliers and Partners, and build strong relationships with Customers and Stakeholders across Airbus
About you:
You are a seasoned engineer who thrives on teamwork and quality.
Experience: You should have a demonstrable track record in Systems or Equipment Engineering Development. Experience with Fuel Systems is highly desirable
Education: A degree qualification in Engineering is preferred, but not essential
