Accounts responsibilities

As part of the vibrant admin and accounts team at Skipper, you are expected to integrate with the existing team and help build on the good work and culture that has been part of Skipper's success to date.

Your role and responsibilities in being a success at Skipper are outlined below and we look forward to enabling you to follow, actively promote and achieve the following:

Credit control of Creditors in line with agreed account terms and bringing disputes to a satisfactory conclusion Support the on-boarding of new distributors with credit application forms Final check on fall supplier and freight invoices before passing for payment Timely and accurate production of all customer invoices Production of sage reports for both creditors and (debtors when covering this side) Regular financial updates to the senior management team Preparation of stock value reports Production of pro-forma invoices and chasing of monies owed Posting purchase invoicing onto Sage cross checking with PO and delivery notes before going onto Sage and the spreadsheet with reference number Payment of accounts on time writing cheque's and arranging payments for approval Preparation of the company's VAT submission Implement and sustain a systematic filling system that sees a close of month end with all files then archived and referenced Preparing supplier orders and coordinating FOC parts to be issued. Payments to suppliers Effective handling of incoming calls and emails into the busines Build a strong collaborative working arrangement with the company's appointed accountants Work consciously as a team player and/or on your own as and when required Observe and abide by company procedures including health & safety at all times Active participation in all departmental activities Communicate effectively with all departments Help to train and develop your colleagues where needed Implement and maintain high levels of housekeeping throughout the work environment Have a thirst for product knowledge, using the company product resources to ensure you have in-depth knowledge of all raw materials and finished product Represent the company in a professional manner should your duties require to liaise with customers, suppliers or other associates Promote a continuous improvement culture highlighting area to develop the business and its products at all times Become a brand ambassador for Skipper, embracing the company's values; Robust, Dependable, Versatile, Innovative Salary starting at 30,000.00 with the opportunity to increase to 32,000 depending on experience.
Applicant requires an excellent knowledge working with accounts,figures and accuracy.
