We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in catering and hospitality, with a focus on food safety and production. As a Cook, you will be responsible for plating dishes and ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards. This role requires team management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare, cook and assemble meals according to menu specifications.
Assist in training new team members.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and quality control.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
Qualifications
Experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the industry.
Strong basic cooking skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent team management abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
