Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
Cook and prepare dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in presentation and taste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure compliance with health regulations
Support the team during busy service periods by serving meals efficiently and courteously
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages
Contribute to creating a positive dining experience for customers through attentive service and professional conduct
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is beneficial but not mandatory
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and serving procedures will be considered an asset
Enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills and working as part of a team is essential
trained with I.D.D.I.S diet requirements to suit residents diet needs
Understanding of allergies and diet requirements
Understanding of rotation with stock
Has food hygiene , health and safety , and I.D.D.I.S training or an understanding of food textures and fluid textures , such as pureed , minced and moist ect
