Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised deli environment. This position requires a passion for food, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
Assist customers by taking orders and providing recommendations on deli products. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food products.
Skills
Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Experience in food preparation or culinary arts is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high-quality service. Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, with a friendly demeanour to assist customers effectively. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
