Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli products, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties

Prepare and serve a range of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, adhering to company recipes and presentation standards Assist customers with their selections, providing friendly and professional service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly Restock shelves with fresh products and ensure display areas are attractive and well-stocked Operate slicing machines, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Upsell additional products to maximise sales opportunities Follow food safety regulations at all times, including proper storage, handling, and labelling of food items Manage cash register operations accurately and efficiently during shifts

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately Experience with kitchen equipment such as slicers or ovens is advantageous Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers A positive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required

Pay: 12.21-13.96 per hour
