Duties

Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, as well as preparing simple dishes under the guidance of chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, and utensils promptly. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating as required. Help maintain stock levels by receiving deliveries and storing items appropriately. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Basic food preparation skills and an understanding of cooking techniques are advantageous. Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings will be considered an asset. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
