Murton Park is looking for a Part Time/ Full Time Living History Interpreter
The role
To deliver all aspects of our school living history learning programme on site, in schools and online. Working individually, remotely or as part of a team, to act as support or lead character. Actively develop and maintain a good level of appropriate subject knowledge. Care for and maintain props, materials and costumes to ensure a high standard of presentation.
High levels of record-keeping required.
To undertake the delivery of the museum learning and engagement programme for the public and museum visitors. Within and out of season.
To work on Reception/Front of House as required
To undertake other duties when required to support the maintenance/upkeep of the site
To assist the site with the holiday programme as required
Offsite work may be required (education outreach program within schools)
The person
Clean Driving Licence required
Willingness to work remotely
Excellent communication skills
Educated to Graduate/Post Graduate level/Teaching qualification
Good level of subject knowledge
Enhanced DBS disclosure
Uphold staff / site policies where required
A team player with a can-do attitude
Rate of pay
: 12.35/hr
Hours
: a typical day is 8.30am-4.30pm
