We are recruiting for a Kitchen Supervisor to join our friendly team in our Coffee shop at Otter Garden Centre in Taunton.
We are looking for a versatile team member who has experience of leadership in a catering business
Requirements
Duties will include:
To support the Catering manager with the implementation of our food safety procedures.
To Place orders for all food required for the coffee shop and support the front of house team leader with ordering when/if necessary.
To monitor wastage through ordering/over production/ order errors and report to the catering manager on a weekly basis through an accurate wastage sheet.
To ensure the kitchen equipment is in good working order and well maintained - Nominated contractors contacted for support and documented on the daily due diligence.
To ensure the kitchen team are following all due diligence paperwork and cleaning schedules in a timely manner.
Daily spot checks within the kitchen around kitchen cleanliness and food safety systems
Support with training /inducting new team within the coffee shop - relevant paperwork stored and kept up to date.
Help create a positive, well organized work environment for ourselves and the team
The ideal candidate will:
Have a friendly and engaging personality.
Good Catering skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Be a team player.
Should have a confident manner and be helpful and polite.
Good organizational skills.
Excellent knowledge to all the relevant policies and procedures.
Should be smart in appearance and articulate.

This is a permanent full-time position.
8 hour shifts
