We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

to join our supportive and inclusive primary school environment. This full-time role involves working closely with two pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing consistent, individualised support to help them access learning and thrive in the school setting.

The Role:

You will work across two key pupils:

A

Reception child

with a diagnosis of

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

who is

non-verbal

and requires high levels of structure, routine, and communication support. A

Year 4 child

with

moderate learning difficulties

and a

hearing impairment

, who benefits from adapted teaching strategies and communication aids.
The successful candidate must be flexible, highly attentive to individual needs, and able to build nurturing, positive relationships with both children.

We Are Looking For:

Proven full-time experience

supporting children with complex special educational needs. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach with strong behaviour management and communication skills. Experience working with children with

ASD

,

non-verbal communication needs

, and/or

sensory and hearing impairments

. A commitment to inclusive education and collaboration with teaching staff and external professionals. The ability to adapt quickly and work independently, as well as part of a team.
