This position is for for a full-time role in our Corsham clinic. 4 day week with a share of Saturday mornings (1 in 3).
This position can be suited to more junior colleagues, who will enjoy support from very experienced colleagues on a day-to-day basis. There is a mixture of surgical and consult work in a small animal practice.
You will be further supported by an excellent team of RVN/ACA/receptionists.
Peacock vets is an independent clinic and has grown a lot since opening in 2021. However, the emphasis is still on providing great value, contextualised care in the local community.
The support team has mostly been here since the practice opened.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgical procedures, and educating pet owners on proper care and preventative measures.
Duties
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations.
Interpret laboratory results and conduct diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and professional development.
Skills
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal behaviour.
Proficiency in laboratory procedures and diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.
