Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Ensure cleanliness and organisation of tables before, during, and after service Handle payments accurately and process transactions efficiently Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food safety standards Assist in setting up dining areas prior to service and cleaning after closing hours Address guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is advantageous Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
