Job Purpose



Amanah Global Relief is seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead and drive our fundraising initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, fostering donor relationships, and ensuring the financial sustainability of our vital humanitarian projects.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies



Create comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve financial targets and organisational goals. Identify and capitalise on diverse fundraising opportunities, including individual giving, high net worth donors, corporate partnerships, grants, events, Masjid collections, and online/offline campaigns.

Donor Cultivation and Relationship Management



Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, supporters, and partners. Communicate effectively with donors, keeping them informed about the impact of their contributions and the progress of Amanah Global Relief's projects through high quality reporting.

Fundraising, Event Planning and Management



Organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, deployments, and activities to engage the community and generate financial support. To represent the charity at relevant events and activities - including public speaking. To carry out fundraising administrative duties. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and initiatives effectively. Develop and maintain relationships with Muslim community institutions, organisations and community groups, including Masjids. Organise and participate in Masjid fundraising collections for Ramadan and throughout the year.

Financial Reporting and Analysis



Prepare regular financial reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders. Analyse fundraising data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make informed recommendations for improvement. Monitor expenditure, ensuring that all activities are cost-effective and within budget.

Compliance and Ethics



Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant Islamic, legal and ethical standards. Stay informed about industry best practices, regulations, and trends in fundraising.

Manage fundraising staff and volunteers



Recruit and manage any fundraising assistants that may be required by the charity. Provide relevant training and mentoring to staff/volunteers. Build a dedicated, trustworthy and committed team of volunteers to aid and assist the charity in achieving its object. Provide guidance, structure and activities to volunteers. Develop and maintain volunteer engagement strategies.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Non-profit Management, Fundraising, etc.) (

) Proven experience in fundraising, with a focus on individual giving and event management (

) Experience of managing a fundraising team and volunteers (

) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders (

) Experience/confidence in public speaking (

) Excellent writing and presentation skills, especially in the context of donor communications (

) Familiarity with the Islamic charity sector and a commitment to Amanah Global Relief's mission (
