Purpose of Role
To sustain and grow income through warm and cold fundraising streams (using GRIN and other search engines), focusing on trusts, foundations, and individual giving. Responsible for managing a portfolio of warm funders, building a pipeline of new prospects, delivering two appeals per year, stewarding donors, and maintaining donor data management.
Key Responsibilities
Trust & Foundation Fundraising (60%)
You'll manage a portfolio of 20+ warm funders, maintaining and strengthening those relationships to retain and renew vital support. In addition to safeguarding existing income (currently 150k), you'll proactively identify and secure new funding opportunities--aiming to generate at least 70k in additional income annually, with flexibility to scale as needed.
Maintain an accurate trust/foundation pipeline and CRM records.
Individual Giving & Campaigns (15%)
Deliver two annual fundraising appeals (e.g., Christmas and Spring), supported by Marketing.
Develop Individual Giving supporters.
Monitor appeal performance and optimise conversion rates.
Ensure timely gift processing and acknowledgments within 10 working days.
Stewardship & Donor Relations (15%)
Develop and implement a stewardship plan with personalised updates.
Maintain excellent donor experience and retention.
CRM & Reporting (10%)
Maintain up-to-date donor records on Raiser's Edge.
Generate monthly reports and analyse income trends.
Monitor progress against targets and recommend strategy adjustments.
What You Bring
Minimum 3 years' experience in trust fundraising or individual giving.
Proven grant success and strong donor communication skills.
Experience with CRM systems (Raiser's Edge desirable).
Highly organised, self-directed, and results oriented.
Passion for children's health and wellbeing.
