The Role

Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager

Responsible for: Engaging and welcoming guests and supporting the guest experience in the interactive gallery

Rate of Pay: Minimum Wage, casual contract

Base Hours: Range of weekend and weekday work available. Regular hours available during weekends and school holidays

Main duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include;

Welcoming and engaging guests

Show guests how to use and get the most out of our exhibits in the downstairs galleries

Be the point of contact for questions and advice about getting the most out of a visit

Keeping the gallery and museum space clean and tidy

Processing till transactions

Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Person specification:

Warm, welcoming, outgoing personality

Comfortable talking to guests of all ages

Demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels

Be an excellent team player

Have a desire to succeed in your role

Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
