Job Summary

As a Game Master, you will play a pivotal role in creating an engaging and immersive experience for guests. You will be responsible for managing game sessions, ensuring that all participants have a fantastic time while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and guest services. Your ability to facilitate gameplay, resolve issues, and enhance the overall atmosphere will be essential in delivering memorable experiences.

We are a high-tech VR venue so experience in tech maintenance is a plus as hardware and networking challenges often arise. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake all manner of our general venue operations. This includes general health and safety tasks, cleaning responsibilities as well as food and drink prep in our hospitality areas such as our bar and pizza kitchen.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee game sessions, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to rules. Welcome guests warmly, providing exceptional hospitality and guest services throughout their experience. Facilitate gameplay by guiding participants, explaining rules, and resolving any queries or issues that may arise. Create an engaging environment by maintaining energy levels and enthusiasm during sessions. Monitor game progress and adjust scenarios as needed to enhance player engagement. Collect feedback from participants to continuously improve the gaming experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gaming area before, during, and after sessions. Maintain good standards of cleanliness and hygiene of the communal customer and staff areas of the venue. Food and drink preparation

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service. Previous experience in hospitality or food prep is desirable. Knowledge in tech hardware and networking is a bonus Strong time management skills with the ability to lead groups effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition. Ability to work well within a team Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations quickly. A passion for gaming and a good understanding of various game types is advantageous. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. (Must be available Saturdays.) Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
