Job Purpose
To provide efficient administrative and customer support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of Exeter Road Garage. The role focuses on invoicing, bookings, customer communication, and maintaining an organised front-office function.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Finance
Prepare and process invoices accurately
Maintain booking schedules and job records
Update customer records and basic filing
Support payment tracking and documentation
Bookings & Customer Service
Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and social media
Book vehicles in for MOTs, servicing, repairs, and hire
Provide clear information to customers in a friendly, professional manner
Liaise with workshop staff regarding schedules and job progress
Social Media & Marketing Support
Create and post basic social media updates
Respond to messages and comments in a timely manner
Support promotions, offers, and announcements
General Office Support
Keep the office area organised and professional
Assist with day-to-day garage operations as required
Support the wider team during busy periods
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Good organisational and communication skills
Confident using computers, email, and basic software
Professional and friendly telephone manner
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable (but not essential):
Previous admin, reception, or customer service experience
Experience in an automotive or service-based business
Familiarity with social media platforms
