We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable horticulturist to join our Houseplant team at Newquay Garden Centre! As a key member of our garden centre, you'll be responsible for plant care, customer assistance, and maintaining our vibrant displays. This will also include work in our shop and use of the tills. This is a Permanent, Full Time position and the ideal candidate needs to be able to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice to customers on Houseplant care and selection
Maintain and nurture plants to ensure a healthy environment
Assist with stock management, watering, pruning, and plant displays
Work closely with the team to create an engaging shopping experience
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization in the houseplant area
Requirements:
Background in horticulture or relevant experience in a garden centre setting
Strong plant knowledge and passion for Houseplants
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Weekend Work is ESSENTIAL
