The award winning M&C Garden Centre is seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment for all. This position requires a blend of practical skills, effective communication, and organisational abilities.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance tasks across various facilities, including repairs and upkeep of equipment. Assist with gardening and horticulture activities to maintain outdoor spaces. Support merchandising efforts by building and ensuring displays/stands are well-maintained. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance needs and progress. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Delivery driver cover during holiday periods.

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Basic knowledge of gardening and horticulture practices is desirable. Fork Lift training is desirable Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
