We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working with various plants, flowers, and garden features to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. The Gardener will be responsible for ensuring that all gardening tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to maintain the aesthetic appeal of gardens and landscapes.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening activities such as planting, pruning, and maintaining garden beds.
Irrigate plants appropriately to ensure optimal growth and health of the garden.
Conduct regular landscape maintenance including mulching, fertilising, and pest control to promote healthy plant growth.
Assist in the growing of plants from seeds or cuttings, ensuring proper care is taken throughout the process.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects that enhance the beauty of outdoor spaces.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
Qualifications
Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial.
Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and plant care techniques is advantageous.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong physical stamina as the role requires standing for long periods, lifting, and performing manual tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
A keen eye for detail with a passion for creating beautiful gardens.
