Job Description
M&J Gardens is looking for a part-time Gardener to join our team in Derby.
THIS POSITION IS FOR PART TIME AND FLEXIBLE HOURS - MUST BE WILLING TO USE POWER TOOLS AND TRAVEL TO DERBY.
The ideal candidate will be a hard worker who enjoys working in the garden and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe garden. Also labour work on a temporary basis until 1st November 2023
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Must be able to work independently Must be over 16 Must have a working knowledge of gardening equipment, pruning tools, and basic landscape maintenance. Must be available for early morning shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime. Must have the ability to read and understand English.
Responsibilities:
Gardening - including but not limited to; planting, transplanting, pruning, weeding, mowing, weeding/strimming, weeding/mowing, weeding/mowing procedures; watering plants by means of various irrigation systems; maintaining irrigation systems; maintaining lawns by means of various mowing procedures; maintaining lawns by means of various mowing procedures; maintaining lawns by means of various fertilizing procedures; fertilizing plants; fertilizing plants by means of various fertilizer applications; maintaining lawns by means of chemical applications; maintaining ponds and lakes by means of various irrigation systems; Maintenance of ponds and lakes by means of various irrigation systems; Maintenance of sidewalks and driveways by means of various maintenance procedures; Maintenance of parking lots by means of various maintenance procedures; Maintenance of sport courts and other recreational sites, domestic and commercial by means of various maintenance procedures. Other duties as assigned.
