Job Description

Position: Self-Employed Gardener / Landscape Maintenance Contractor (UK)Responsibilities

Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging, and weeding Maintain and care for plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees within gardens and landscaped areas Use power tools and hand tools to trim, prune, and shape plants safely and effectively Irrigate plants and ensure appropriate watering schedules are maintained Apply fertilisers and pesticides where required, in line with health and safety regulations Assist with landscape maintenance projects, including planting and minor hard landscaping works Monitor plant health and identify signs of disease, pests, or poor growth Ensure garden and work areas are kept clean, tidy, and free from debris

Attend client sites as required to assess work and provide quotations or estimates for gardening and landscaping services

Requirements

Previous experience in garden maintenance or landscaping preferred Knowledge of a wide range of plant species and their care requirements Competence in the safe use of gardening power tools and hand tools Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards Physical fitness to carry out manual work in varying weather conditions Good communication skills to liaise professionally with clients or site contacts

self-employed basis

and does not constitute an employment relationship The contractor will have control over how the work is carried out, subject to agreed standards and outcomes The contractor is responsible for their own
