Role overview



We're seeking a reliable, hardworking gardener to join our ABOT team. You'll maintain lawns, flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees; complete installations and seasonal projects; and help keep properties healthy and attractive.

Key responsibilities



- Communicate professionally with supervisors and clients as needed

-Perform general maintenance tasks including:

Mow, edge, rake, blow and maintain lawns and turf Plant, prune, trim, and deadhead flowers, shrubs and small trees. Weed beds, apply mulch, compost and soil amendments
-Monitor the condition of outdoor spaces and identify areas requiring attention or repair.

- Operate and maintain hand and powered tools (mowers, trimmers, blowers, small tillers and saws)

- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas and equipment clean

- Monitor plant health and report pests/diseases; apply treatments per instructions

-Support seasonal projects related to horticulture and landscape enhancement.

-Keep detailed records of maintenance activities performed.

Requirements



-Proven experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.

-Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.

-Knowledge of plant care, growing techniques, and landscape design principles.

-Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

-Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

-Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy equipment or materials when necessary.

-A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.

-Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscaping are advantageous but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about outdoor maintenance and plant care, with opportunities for professional growth within our organisation.

- Punctual, team-oriented, and customer-service focused

- Certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator, irrigation) are a plus
