Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces through various horticultural and landscape maintenance activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in gardening, horticulture, and landscape design to develop their skills in a professional environment. The ideal applicant will have experience working with hand tools, irrigation systems, and power tools, alongside a strong knowledge of plant care and garden aesthetics.

Duties

Garden clearance Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees to promote healthy growth. Operating hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to maintain garden beds and lawns. Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution. Using power tools like hedge trimmers, lawn mowers, and blowers for landscape upkeep. Conducting regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching. Assisting with soil preparation and planting new flora according to seasonal requirements. Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for prompt treatment. Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept neat, safe, and visually appealing at all times. Collaborating with clients or team members to plan garden layouts or specialised planting schemes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems. Growing experience with various plant species is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for gardening and environmental sustainability. Relevant certifications or qualifications in horticulture or landscape management are a plus but not essential.
