We are a small Limited company providing a high quality horticultural service to private residencies in the Penrith and Carlisle areas. Transport is provided daily from Penrith.

We are looking for new team members to join the growing business who if not already competent is willing to learn to carry out a vast variety of tasks from planting and maintaining gardens through to hard landscaping The position is fully supervised until the right person becomes both competent and confident in the tasks to be carried out.

Both full and part-time applicants will be considered.

Requirements

You must be willing to commit to learning to a level which enables you to independently provide a quality service to customers.

It is essential that you have a mature attitude to work and are hardworking and reliable. The position is Monday to Friday, although flexibility is required around daily finish times to enable jobs to be completed. We will also work flexibly around your requirements wherever possible.

Ideally at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (new GCSE grading levels 4 to 9) they must include English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths.

Most importantly you must be able to demonstrate your genuine interest in horticulture and your desire to pursue a career in this field. You must be physically fit as the work is quite physically demanding, hardworking and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Impeccable time keeping is a must as too is a positive, self-motivated attitude.
