Newcastle Beer Gas Ltd. is looking for a part time delivery driver to join our small and friendly team.

The candidate will be delivering gas cylinders to pubs, bars and restaurants across the North East from Newcastle to Sunderland and surrounding areas. The gas bottles weigh in the region of 20kgs each. Many of the venues have underground cellars so it is needed to go up and down the stairs carrying the bottles safely.

Every day will have a set run of customers in specific areas where we would require the candidate to deliver the gas cylinders, write invoices and handle payment, and collect empty bottles safely and in a friendly, timely manner.

The candidate will also help load the vans in the morning and unload after completing the day. There may also be times where we would need the candidate to conduct various yard tasks ranging from gas cylinder assembly, sorting, inspecting, labelling and cleaning the vans.

We value hard workers and team players as we aim to create a good working environment. Previous experience driving a 3.5 tonne van is essential. A good knowledge of health and safety would be advantageous.

Hours of work are 0900-1700, 3 days per week (potential to increase to full time depending on circumstances). We are currently in the process of changing site from Sunderland to Morpeth so there may be some travel to consider in the first few months.

Experience with handling gases is not necessary, training will be provided. Candidate must hold a clean driving licence.
