Must have boiler installations background - 5 days a week doing installations to start with - then service and breakdown an advantage
Responsibilities
Plumbing and gas engineer
Gas installations, gas boiler replacements, all related gas safety certificates and repairs
To carry out general plumbing maintenance, installations and repairs
To carry out pre planned maintenance, complete all related certificates and forms supplied To attend to boiler breakdowns, diagnose and repair
Requirements
Carrying out reactive and pre-planned works
To attend to boiler breakdowns, diagnose and collate the correct information for parts can be sourced via the office, and repair
Carry out reactive maintenance both relation to gas and plumbing
To carry out plumbing repairs consisting of taps, ball valves, immersion heaters, tanks and all sanitaryware
To carry out heating repairs consisting of pumps, zone valves, filters, pipework, power-flushing
To carry boiler servicing and complete the appropriate certificates with the correct information ensuring it is legally binding
Top carry out Landlord Gas Safety Certificates and compete the certificates with the correct information ensuring it is compliant
TO take responsibility of your legal obligation of a gas engineer and report any dangerous faults to your line manager and the office, ensuring you take the appropriate action required
To fault find and when doing so, to use as much literature available to you as possible by contacting Gas Safe, manufacturers, and reliable safety compliant resources
First and second fix plumbing to bathrooms and kitchens,
First and second fix plumbing to central heating system consisting of installing boilers, flues, radiators, radiator valves, pumps, control valves
Central heating wiring installations fault finding service and repair
Plant room installations, servicing, repairs, fault finding and general maintenance
PPM works
Attend to in the first instance any blocked drains, internal waste pipes and attempt to clear with plumbing equipment
To prospect and identify new business
Complete clear and concise report sheets
Participate in the on call rota 1 week in every 6 or 7 weeks to attend to all areas of the business
Use the app correctly, ie., start, pause and complete jobs correctly
Collecting keys from clients, estate agents, maintenance companies, managing agents etc., taking responsibility for correct usage and return of keys within specified time frame
Qualifications
CCN1 and CENWAT
NVQ in plumbing
Proven experience in the gas sector with a focus on system design and project engineering.
Solid understanding of mechanical knowledge as it relates to gas systems.
Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and reports.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
