Job Requirements

Development of repair solutions and recommending inspection methods to meet short term and long-term business needs. Analyse to substantiate component repair solutions and/or non-conformance in support of engine overhaul. As a Repair Engineer you will be expected to be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings, the GD&T associated with that drawing and perform tolerance stack up analysis. Collaborate with global engineering organizations and support functions as required (such as design, stress, materials, systems engineering etc.). Ability to work across functions in the development, implementation, and final industrialization of a repair to support repair shops. Generate change in repair development documents and engine repair manuals. Leverage prior experience and knowledge and broaden knowledge of one's own technical discipline to meet product deliverables. This may require use of multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, including leadership. Share engineering information and promote open dialogue. This includes timely communications on significant issues or developments. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/ quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Work Experience

Repair engineering experience Ability to interpret aero engine assembly and component level drawings Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) processes Good knowledge on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T) Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. Ability to document and plan. * Early adopter of change, adjusting to find faster, simpler approaches that are impactful.
