Job Title: Logistics Admin Assistant
Principal location of Work: Groby, Leicester
Responsible to: Logistics Team Leader
Overall Purpose: The purpose of the Logistics Team is manage the global shipments in line with the targets of the Groby business. The ideal candidate will have admin/office experience, a responsible attitude towards the job, be able to work on their own initiative and will be resourceful in overcoming difficulties. They will also need to be a team player who is reliable and competent. A high level of accuracy will be required, together with the ability to work quickly under pressure. A knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential but must be able to use Microsoft Office particularly Word & Excel
Roles and Responsibilities:
To include, but not limited to,
Import clearance administration providing clearance instructions to carriers, checking customs entries and maintaining accurate records.
Providing admin support to the Shipping Team - managing the shipping mailbox, checking shipment tracking and obtaining POD's.
Assisting with the shipment of manual items, subcontractor parts and supplier rejects/returns to UK customers.
Flexibility and able to work additional hours (including some weekends) at peak times. Enable Skills-Based Hiring No
