Mug.Up Langauge Studio Ltd. is an online language and exam preparation studio focused on helping students (ages 6-60+) achieve their academic goals, including GCSE, IELTS, Functional Skills, ESOL and other English and foreign language exams. We combine structured academic support with personalised instruction, exam strategy training, and progress tracking. Our mission is to build confidence, raise grades, and help learners succeed in English and Maths.

We are looking for

experienced GCSE English and GCSE Maths Tutors

to support

Year 10-11 students

in preparation for their GCSE exams.

This role is

exam-focused and results-driven

, suitable for tutors who understand GCSE specifications, mark schemes, and assessment objectives.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality

GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths lessons

(1:1 or small groups) Prepare students for: GCSE English Language (and Literature where applicable) GCSE Mathematics (Foundation and/or Higher) Teach exam techniques and strategies Use past papers and mark schemes effectively Identify learning gaps and create targeted revision plans Prepare students for mock exams Track progress and provide structured feedback Adapt lessons for

EAL / migrant learners

Communicate with the Academic Team

Requirements GCSE English Tutor:

Proven experience teaching

GCSE English (Year 10-11)

Strong knowledge of

AQA / Edexcel / WJEC

Experience with exam writing and reading papers

GCSE Maths Tutor:

Proven experience teaching

GCSE Maths (Year 10-11)

Ability to teach

Foundation and/or Higher

Strong understanding of GCSE exam techniques
General:

Experience working with teenagers (14-16) Excellent communication skills Organised, reliable, and exam-oriented approach Right to work in the UK

Desirable

Experience as a

GCSE examiner or marker

PGCE / QTS / QTLS / CELTA or relevant Maths qualification Experience improving grades Experience with

EAL / bilingual learners
